Subject: Can't believe I have been so stupid..
Hi,
I have no one I can talk to about this and I feel so ashamed of myself... I started seeing a new boyfriend about a month ago and last night we both got quite drunk and I went back to his place. Anyway, we ended unprotected sex... This is not something I would normally do and the awful thing is, I hardly ever drink and I have been out of relationship for almost a year (I was with my ex boyfriend for 3 yrs). I took morning after pill this morning and am now going to get myself testing for STDs. I just feel so awful about myself that I could have been so stupid and needed to get it off my chest. I am also disappointed that this guy did not use a condom despite both of us being drunk. I really shld know better.

Thanks for listening guys...

Skippy x

You did the right thing, and now you just need to forgive yourself, and make sure you don't repeat the mistake. We all do stupid things.

Skippy it's alright. Everyone does make mistakes and its good you've got the pill and getting checked just to be safe. Don't beat yourself up about it!

Try to relax sweetie - you are doing all the right things - MAP, check up etc. I'm sure everything will be okay.

It was just a slip up, it happens, don't be hard on yourself xx

So long as he feels the same way (that it was a silly mistake not to be repeated and he wishes he hadn't forgotten the condom) - you shouldn't judge him badly for this.

He should get tested too - quite a lot of the STDs don't necessarily show up straight away.

And as all the others have said - don't give yourself too hard a time, just know you won't make the same mistake again...

Nooo - don't beat yourself up.

At least you are responsible enough to recognise that you've made a mistake & will probably take measures to make sure it doesn't happen again (some girls take the morning after pill like it's a sweet and wouldn't give it a moment of thought). There's no point in being down on yourself though!

I'm pretty sure if not EVERYONE then almost everyone has been in some sort of similar situation! It's not even like you did this with a complete stranger or anything either, you've been seeing this guy for a month, with IMO is somewhat different to staggering home with someone you met in a club.

You're deffo doing the right thing to get checked though - always better safe than sorry!!

Chin up!

As the others have said, please don't beat yourself up over it. Everyone makes mistakes - you've been very wise in taking all the precautions you can after the event, and hopefully you will be OK. What's his reaction been to this? Let us know how you are. xxx

I agree with the other baggers, dont be too hard on yourself, you recognised the mistake and your doing the right things to rectify this.

As paris_gal said, he should get tested too so that you are both at ease and hopefully you can continue on with him if you choose to. Its a mistake, thats all, something that happens to the best of us!

Hope everything works out for you x
