Subject: Issue with food
Our new rescue kitten is a pain in the arse when it comes to food. We have to shut her in a separate room whenever we are cooking or eating as she is constantly climbing to get to the food. She then meaows at the top of her voice until she is let out again. Our older cat's food is now on top of the fridge where she can get it but the other wont. She has a strict feeding shedule but she doesn't seem to care. I prefer to leave biscuits for food out all day and then a bit of meat at night but so far not going to happen! Will she grow out of this? Should we continue with the schedule in the hope she will eventually learn or is there something else we should try?

*cute pics will be added when I get home tonight*

There's a chance she'll grow out of it but he might just be a bit of a glutton. Our Siamese is like that so we have to feed them 3 times a day. Leaving food around is not an option because he just gets fat as just he eats until he pukes if allowed unlimited food.

thanks for the reply!

bums. She will just eat anything she gets her "hands" on. Managed to get into our bin the other day...gross. She sounds really similar with the eating until sick thing, her belly gets HUGE when she has found food without us knowing. tried to speak to her vet but the stuck up b*tch only said "what did we expect". Needless to say shes moving to the vet we have for our other cat now.

oh, and she is dewormed as well, so isn't anything to do with that.
