I was woken up 4 times this morning, between 3 and 5am, by a fox jumping at my front window where my cat was sitting tormenting it. This has been going on for about a month now and it's driving me mad! I have a big, low front window and my cat sits on the windowsill during the night and the local foxes all come over and seem to fling themselves at the window, it makes such a racket and keeps waking me up in the early hours.
I've tried placing lemon peel outside to deter the foxes but that didn't work for long. I've poured water on the fox from my bedroom window upstairs, that scares them off but they soon come back. At 5am this morning I resorted to taping my front curtains to the wall so my cat can't get on the windowsill! I'm not sure how long it'll keep him off though, and it looks pretty ugly, has anyone got any better ideas? My downstairs is all open plan so I can't shut him out of the living room.
I know, we've been living here a year and this has only just started! I was thinking about a blind of some sort. I think it would still have to be taped to the window though, to keep my cat from getting behind it!
