We are having a new kitchen (at last!!!!:yay: ) and are just debating what to do about the splashbacks - I have to admit I don't have oodles of time to 'clean' in the kitchen & wondered what would be the easiest kind of splashback to have (particularly behind the hob) would be? any suggestions???

We're just having our new kitchen installed too - nearly there :yay: We've gone for a glass splashback behind the cooker and I was surpised how cheap they were :yay: We got a 600 x 650 from B&Q in clear glass for 20, the frosted glass version was 22. In Argos they have one with a frosted glass square pattern on it for about 18 HTH

I would suggest "not glass" if you don't have time to polish it every day! I have textured tiles behind the hob. They are smooth enough to wipe clean, but just textured enough to hide the splashes they receive before I clean them.

We were renovating our kitchen recently and used www.MyColourGlass.co.uk http://www.MyColourGlass.co.uk . Quality is superb. It's worth visiting there website. The glass splashback requires minimum of maintenance and can be readily cleaned using standard household reagents. Maria

Ours are blue, green, orange and yellow mosaic tiles (well cheat mosaic as they're put together into larger units to put on the wall). They're just randomized so it hides all known marks until you get round to cleaning better than a block of solid colour.

We also went for one large piece of glass (Kitchen Calm) and would definitely recommend!! Looks amazing, reflects light and requires no maintenance at all...
