Anyone experienced almost constant bleeding (albeit light). Kind of defeating the point of BEING on the d*mn thing had a look at pill post. Does it settle down? I've been on it two months and seem to bleed/spot every day with just a week or so free. Getting p*ssed off

i was on it for about 2 months, bled more days than not and quite heavily, too. ditched it against the nurse's wishes- she expected me to stay on it for 6 months

I was on this for around two months as I can't go on the *normal* pill because I'm a migraine sufferer. I gained just over half a stone in weight, had the skin of a 13 year old and APPARENTLY was moody a lot of the time! It really did help with my period pain, which I suffer from very badly every month. I did have scanty bleeding when my period was due, and also when I ovulated. inca.x.

I've been taking this since January. My doctor insists I try it out for a full year (groan). She forewarned me that the possible side effects were either no bleed at all (which I didn't fancy) or possibly longer bleeds than normal. So far, I've skipped two periods completely and had two periods, one lasting 27 days (I counted!) and the more recent one *only* lasted 21 days. I am hoping that I'm now on a downward spiral and that the next one will *just* be 15 days?! Prior to this one, I was on Microval, another mini pill. I had no problems whatsoever for the first four years, then started the intermittent bleeding I've read that others have suffered. Cerazette is seemingly of the same family, so I suppose it's not surprising that it has a similar downside. At 40, my doctor has told me she has nothing else to offer me (sniffle)

Seems we are all different. I am also being told at the moment I am tense (and do feel it), but am putting it down to needing a holiday and being generally tired. At the moment. But yesterday I was ready to jack it in and go back to the diaphram. I am also 40. And the bleeding is playing havoc with my s*x life.

and it sure gets expensive needing some form of protection for a full 27 days! Fortunately, like you, I'm pretty light (in fact I keep thinking it's all finished, then alas...), but still. As you say, it's definitely bad for our s*x lives (or is that how Cerazette works as a contraceptive!!)

I have no periods whatsoever on this pill. My doctor said I would probably experience some 'spotting' but as soon as I started cerazette - I didn't have one period, and I've been taking it for nearly a year and a half. I've actually stopped taking it in the last month and my skin has really cleared up and my libido is coming back too It's great that on the one hand, I don't get no periods (no pain and no forking out for tampons) but on the other hand it is kinda worrying.

Hi, I've been on Cerazette for 2 and a half months now. I haven't had any bleeding or periods since I've been on it. I came off marvelon because of migraines. I've noticed that my hair is starting to fall out and because of this I'm going to come off cerazette and go back to marvelon (got a few spare packets left) as I can't see my doctor for 2 weeks to ask for another mini pill. Anyone else had hair loss on cerazette? It's such a shame as otherwise this is the only side effect I'm having but it's too scary for me to carry on taking this pill.

I used this for about a year and was SO fed up with the odd days of spotting between periods, which seemed to last forever when they did appear! And sometimes they didn't. Mind you, it works - 2 months after I swapped it for other methods of contraception I became pregnant - not that I mind now of course!
