Subject: Autism & ADHD
Hi everyone, I'm new to these boards, I was seeking out other understanding people that I can speak to as I have a little boy that has ADHD and Autism and it get's a little lonely at times. I spend a lot of time at home as we do not have any other family support network and it is nice to have some other people to speak to sometimes. Hope no-one minded me posting. Thank you

Hi
I am a retired teacher and can sympathise with you. It is very hard to cope with children with these difficulties. Of course, it depends on how complex the issues are but at least you seem to have them organised and noted so that as your child goes through education you will have less of a fight on your hands. If I can help you with any questions please don't hesitate to speak to me.

My youngest is autistic and god it's hard... the routines.. the appointments and dealing alone with the daily grind of screaming/meltdowns and not getting much back from them.

Once you find out what your bairns 'thing' is.. then it does get a lot easier.. because they can focus to almost obssession on it and it does help with daily life.

If youre on facebook.. join this page http://www.facebook.com/CareAutism it really helps being apart of a community who just understands.

I know this is an old thread but it might help somebody.
