Does anyone have a fail safe cookie recipe for a complete cooking dunce?

I've been listening to the Chris Moyles show on Radio One and all week they've had a cookie competition so I want to give them a go myself. They seem to have struggled so I'm looking for some help!

Any recipes for cookies or small cakes (but the cakes would need to be a wheat free recipe!) would be marvellous.
