I've been a bit lax with posting to the 2008 thread recently so here's to a more involved 2009! Lomie, poor you having to work. I hope you have a few days off to make up for it? I've been reading your recent threads about M-a-W and I am very happy for you! We really must arrange that East London meet soon! Popoki, I know exactly how you feel. My OH is lying on the sofa moaning because he 'needs' me go to the shop to buy him milk for some tea. I've already had to bring him chicken soup and help him get dressed

I hope you have a wonderful second Christmas with your mum and that the boiler just needs a few tweaks :fingers:
Good
I have a job that I've worked towards for years, a gorgeous OH, an amazing family, a beautiful cat and my financial position isn't bad (disregarding my 10k student debt!). My health has been good recently and I really am very very lucky.

I had a lovely Christmas. Everyone loved the presents I bought and I loved having the money to spoil people, I was also quite spoilt in return! I met some more of my OH's family over Christmas, including his very cute nieces and nephews, and our parents met at a theatre trip on Tuesday which went really well.

I am in Brighton til Sunday, which is the longest we've stayed here since August. Our London place is essentially a studio and so cramped, it's lovely to be able to move around indoors and to see the sea again!
Bad
Work is fine but I don't love it. I'm hoping that will come as I get a bit less rubbish but I'm worried that if not several years down the line I'm going to have to make a difficult decision about where to go next. My goal is to buy a house in the next 5 years and I just can't see that happening if I take a substantial pay cut.

things are still a bit on and off with my OH, we have huge fights about silly things but I just can't imagine not being with him and all our attempts at breaking up have totally failed. Because it's my first serious relationship I can't tell how much is me just being stupid.

I want a dog sooooooooo much. And I just can't see it happening for years and years :boohoo: All very trivial really!
