Hi everyone,

I have a wedding to go to next week, well I am actually only going to the evening reception and I'm not sure what to wear. Due to medication I am on, I have recently put on quite a bit of weight so the dress I had intended to wear doesn't fit. I haven't got much money at the mo and as it is just the evening reception I am going to I was thinking of wearing this dress which I already have - http://www.newlook.co.uk/1838270/183827009/ProductDetails.aspx .

I am 5ft 2in and a size 14 and have quite big boobs, what do you think? Was thinking of wearing it with some high black peep toe shoes I have and tights but not sure about accessories apart from that - does anyone have any ideas?

I have tried the dress on with a black waist belt which looks quite nice, but want to add a bit of colour so thought I could use a deep pink clutch bag that I have and maybe wear a pink flower in my hair, but would still welcome any advice/ideas.

Sorry, looked at your dress, then couldn't get flippin' back on here. Yes the dress is very pretty, black belt would look good, and definatly the pink bag would work, what jewellery did you have in mind? I really do like the dress, it looks very figure flattering too....have a great day at the wedding, hope the weather goes a bit better. we've got snow over here again, not fun!!!!

Thanks for replying! You've made me feel a bit better, I'm feeling a bit self conscious at the moment, I used to be a size 8 a couple of years ago but since I haven't been well and have been on medication I have put on so much weight. I think thats why I'm worrying about what to wear to this wedding, I haven't been out much for a while, the last time a lot of the people at the wedding saw me I was a lot slimmer, I feel like I'm going to look horrible!

I'm not sure about jewellery really. I love jewellery but don't want to go over the top and look too 'fussy', I have a costume ring which is a butterfly which I might wear but apart from that, I'm not sure - any thoughts welcome!

The dress you've chosen is very flattering so you are not going to look horrible!!! The splashes of colour, ie bag. will add interest to the outfit, just go for a chain & earrings, silver or gold and you'll be fine. The black belt will work well too & will clinch your waist in.... Have fun...
