I'm off for a weekend away soon to London and am desperately in need of an across the body bag (a nice one!) that would fit a weekends' worth of essentials, so preferably A4 size.
I've looked in every shop in my town, trawled every shop website that I can possibly think of, and also scoured eBay, but to no avail. All the across the body bags ive found are far too small so I'm in desperate need of any help for someone to point me in the right direction. I'm on a bit of a budget, and preferably don't want to spend more than 30, cos I know I'll barely use it after my little expedition.
How about a Kipling New Rita? Slightly more expensive than you want to pay but they are very sturdy. You can easily sell it on eBay in a few months if you don't use it much after - they sell very well second hand.
I've got one from Burton (all of the ladies ones i found were too small) as you can imagine it's not very feminine but I can't see why you can't use it. It was 15 (it's not on the website but it does have similar ones to the one I got)
ETA: I took pics and I've attached them.
I got a nice one from Dorothy Perkins. I need an across the body A4 bag for cycling but also wanted one I could carry as a normal handbag - they have a nice faux leather one in black or tan with two sort of zippy details, you can unclip the shoulder strap and carry it using the two normal handles and it's very roomy.
Argh it seems to have gone from their website! If you can find it in store it's worth a look, it was only 25pounds, I've carried it every day for about two months and it still looks good as new.
I also saw a few nice ones in H&M when I was looking for mine so that might be worth a try. Tbh there didn't seem to be very many of them in the high street chains.
I'll avoid the designer handbags link thanks But some great bags at D.Perkins, H&M. USC in Nottingham also have a few nice stylish bags as well, but not sure if you have one near you.
