Subject: Growth Spurts?
Hiya All

New mum panic setting in, so may be asking some obvious questions.

Ive read most babies have a growth spurt between 6 and 8 weeks.

Am is 7 weeks at the mo and yesterday and today shes done nothing but sleep, she's having about 25 oz of milk a day which is spot on, but usually she has bigger bottles, were as at the mo she is drinkin less falling to sleep, then havin another bottle couple of hours later.

I'm just worried as she;s never slept as much as this before in the daytime, nightime hasnt changed.

The last couple of the days she has woken up at 7.45 had her bottle, been awake for about an hour. fell asleep, woke for next bottle at 12. again awake in bouncy chair for about an hour then asleep till 3, another bottle an hour awake then asleep till 6.30 ish. has a bit of a whingey time and little naps till 9.30 then asleep for either the night of waking at 4 for a bottle (varies night to night)

She just seems to be asleep ALOT more than before. Should I be worried?!?!?!

Thanks Girls x x x

Enjoy it while it lasts. I found that Alex would feed for Britain for a day or two and then I'd have an easy couple of days where he'd chill out and take lots of naps. Then it would all be back to normal again.

I have come to find that babies will do what they want when they want and its no cause for concern. They might suddenly decide that night is day and day is night but it wont last.

The motto that has kept me sane and stable i nicked from someone else on here..............its all a phase.

Basically tell yourself and know that everything a baby does doesnt last. Erratic feeding settles, funny sleeping patterns dont last and teething, fussing clingyness doesn't last.
