Subject: 11 year old daughter being bullied..
My youngest is 11 years old and is sort of being picked on by her classmates. It is a bit of a strange one as they are all at school together. My daughter is very immature for her age and does tend to lie, not big whoppers but she does bend the truth quite a bit.
One of these girls who is sort of the ringleader, one minute she is calling up asking my daughter to go over for tea, then the next minute they are not talking and they are being nasty to each other. Obviously I can be biased but I can see where my daughter is going wrong, but trying to tell her this is not getting me anywhere. Is this just a case of my daughter growing up and finding herself or is she being bullied? There is absolutely no physical harm, just ganging up on her occasionally. I do feel that since she does lie, that will definaltley do her no favours at all. Any advice would be welcome. Can I just say that with my 21 year old son, I had none of this drama at all. I do realised that girls are total drama queens and quite nasty tbh when they reach school age.. Look forward to hearing from you.

Sounds just like my junior school in the late nineties Little girls are always picking a best friend, upsetting each other and falling out, then picking a new best friend to gang up on the previous one - "We're not talking to her !" etc. Can't help you with the lying though, sorry

Have to agree with diddymac. My daughter and her schoolfriends were exactly the same, even more so now she's at high school. Girls tend to fall out and make friends again much more than boys, who just tend to get on with it. I found with my daughter that asking questions rather than telling her what to do helped a lot and saved the doors & hinges!!
