Subject: Bit of an odd one!
Okay since having the loud vocal mini me i have noticed some strange goings on in the diet dept. I appear to have developed intollerances, if thats the right word. Tomatos and as of last night beans from a can. i get really stinky wind first and i mean really offensive and then light cramps and then i affects my toilet habits.

Did this happen to anyone else has any one got an opinion or advice i looks like i am going to have to cut both out of my diet. I had a smoothing of relish on my tata at a family bbq on saturday and all night and sunday morning i paid heavily for it.

Marina:)

I developed IBS after the birth of my first.. not that i'm saying this is what is happening with you... 14 years on I pretty much know how to control it.

However.. any change in toilet habits and you're always advised to visit your GP first and foremost so I would urge you to do that before starting to cut stuff out of your diet.

I'll talk to my health visitor then when i go to baby clinic in a couple of weeks. Interesting that ou developed such a serious condition. I thought i was imagining things until i had tomato and chips recently and i was running to the toilet much often than i usually do and things just really havent been the same. I had a tomato pizza on friday and saturday morning was awful and then the other night had beans and OMG my poor belly looks really bloated and i cant stop winding and it stinks.

Yes, I've not been the same since I had my first and I've noticed it even more since my 2nd. I think everything gets upset and tossed about so it may settle down

Tbh I wouldn't see it as a serious condition.. but that may because i'm used to it.. and the fact that I waited a week before having a poo after giving birth.. which probably didnt help.

I still say visiti your GP.. HVs arn't somebody I would put my trust in re this sort of stuff but it's up to you.
