Hello, my name is Lynette and I am an MA student at the University of Sheffield undertaking a study on the social uses of the Internet. I am looking to interview women from the Handbag.com forums about their experiences of using social websites (e.g. Facebook, YouTube, Digg, Blogspot, Twitter, Flickr and Last.fm) and how this relates to issues of identity and gender. I have chosen this site as the discussions here seem considered and articulate.



The interviews will take place over the next week, and will be conducted via an instant messaging program (e.g. MSN messenger, AIM). Each interview will take around 25 minutes and can be arranged at a time that is convenient for the interviewee.
