Can anyone recommend the best online shops for wool please
I buy thread off US ebay a lot as it's probably cheapest. http://www.getknitted.com is really good too and that's in the uk. Theres http://www.iknit.org.uk and http://www.loop.gb.com as well. Is there some particular brand you want?

For cheap and cheerful a local yarn shop would be great. A lot of the online shops have lots of more expensive brand thread .....which will be great when you get addicted:D
