I taped it and watched it last night and I'm not sure....everyone says stick with it but I felt the vampire guy was a bit of a brooding cliche... loved the setting and the other characters though. Reminded me of Twin Peaks but less odd. Did anyone else catch it and what did they think?

I enjoyed it, sort of Twin Peaks meets the Lost Boys. But then again I loved Six Feet Under, one of the all time best things ever to be on TV, so I was hoping this would be good as it's also from Alan Ball.

it's the same guy that did American Beauty as well and I completely loved that putting it in my top 10 all time best films. It's shot in a similar way don't you think? Also loved the thumping cajun soundtrack...

I didn't like the first episode much to be honest - the girl (Sookie) got on my nerves big time. I liked the second episode better, so I'm thinking I'll stick with it for a little longer and hope it improves...

Oh dear - am bored with this already. There may be sex scenes a plenty but the plot is woeful and the acting pretty limp... am beginning to revise my first impressions to be honest...
