I have noticed that most English teachers prefer to use the Harry Potter series as textbook in class. Harry Potter is very interesting and amusing but I would also recommend Enid Blyton's books, which are well written and they could have a very positive influence on children.
What do you think?

Enid Blyton was all but banned from my primary school, on account of at least one member of staff's opinion that her books were sexist and old-fashioned, iirc. Said teacher may have had a point, but I loved the stories when I was little.
