So - as the question goes - do you have a passion for reading? I do! I don't just read novels, I also read women's magazines. I love Glamour, Cosmopolitan, Company and Marie Claire. But I've been reading for years and years. What about you?

i love a good book but it's getting time to read sometimes, i mainly read on the bus to and from work and in bed at night or on the exercise bike at the gym!

i have my phases where i like to read magazines but it's mainly fiction i go for and i use my library regularly - although i've spent a small fortune in amazon and other bookstores in the past, hence now i stick to the library; it's cheaper!
once i've read a book, it's rare that i would read it again anyway, unless it was for study purposes

i've got a couple on the go at the moment; i was reading 'the wilderness' by samantha harvey but i've got bored with that so i started reading 'human traces' by sebastian faulks which is excellent so far
i'm continuing my studies with the OU in october so i've got to make the most of my leisurely reading now!

Reading is my life. I read our mobile library out of teenage books within a few months when I was 14. Had to move onto adult stuff which took some censoring on my mums part. And then I found fantasy and more adequately Mr. Terry Pratchett. I love discworld novels and have bought as many as I could over the years.

I do read anything and everything though. One of my fav books is the lovely bones. I'm not too much into mysteries though, or old stuff or true stories. I prefer weird, different stuff, usually horror, sci fi, fantasy stuff.

I spend huge amounts of time reading. As soon as I am home from work and if the book is really good I will read while at work without people noticing. I also read online stories as well. I carry a book with me nearly all the time.

I also reread. If I read a book and loved it I will read it again almost immediately afterwards and may do so again and again whenever I cannot find anything else to read. Some books I have read a good 10-20 times now.

I would be the happiest person in the world to live in a library with as much jam on toast and I could scoff and diet cokes to drink and didn't have to move or speak to anyone ever again!

I love reading too, but for me it's a bit of a luxury as I hardly ever get the time to so Iike to settle down on a lazy Sunday afternoon with my book and some goodies =) I used to read much more as a child though- I'd have a book in my hand every spare second, and I must have read thousands of books so I'm hoping my kids will be fairly well read too

I read magazines too- New! Reveal etc nothing too taxing lol

Gosh I hardly ever re-read, and wish I could do more of it, but I struggle to read a book twice.

It's great to know that I'm not the only one that enjoys a good book! I also borrow all my novels from the library. As soon as I've finished reading a pile of books, I'll head straight back to the library to borrow another load! I actually read the Russian classic "War and Peace" a few months ago. It was a heavy read, but well worth it! However, the violence was a bit shocking. But reading is my passion in life. And I really enjoy going to the library!

I adore reading I like the deal you get in asda etc where you can get two books for 7 etc. It's a good deal and means you arent spending as much on individual books. x

War and Peace - i'm impressed!

Another bookworm here - i love love love reading, always have. I had floor to ceiling bookshelves built in either side of the fireplace in the lounge to make room for them all. I find it very soothing to look at rows of books and the house is stuffed with them.

I pick them up for myself and mini-SK at charity shops, book sales and airports! Currently reading The Four Hour Work Week (non fiction), and a Ken Follett novel, but i will literally read anything inc the back of shampoo and body lotion botles if i'm really bored..

I love love love reading!
I was the geek at school who was always years ahead of everyone else because I'd steam through the books for my age group.

satsumakitten - I'm so jealous of your bookshelves. I've always wanted a library in my house like the one in Beauty & the Beast with a ladder on wheels.

I read absolutely everything from books to magazines to cereal packets. I've started Interview with a Vampire but I'm not feeling it so I might go back and read The Rum Diary again.

Currently working my way through the Patricia Cornwell Kay Scarpetta series.. Read the first and couldn't put it down - the following day spent in town tracking down the rest of the 15 books in the series, all bought from charity shops!

I'm never without a book, absolutely love reading. Some of my favourites are The Lovely Bones, the Belle De Jour series, Shakespeare, and recently read A Million Little Pieces by James Frey which was amazing.

I have a huge amount of books that I've kept over the years, I moved abroad a few months ago and still couldn't bring myself to get rid of them! I transported boxes of them. Still have all of my set texts from my Lang+Lit course, annotations and all.

hi sats

it's definitely worth a read, i would definitely recommend!

'When he entered a residential treatment centre at the age of twenty-three, James Frey had destroyed his body and his mind almost beyond repair. He faced a stark choice: accept that he wasn’t going to see twenty-four or step into the fallout of his smoking wreck of a life and take drastic action. Surrounded by patients as troubled as he, Frey had to fight to find his own way to confront the consequences of the life he had lived so far, and to determine what future, if any, he has. A Million Little Pieces is an uncommon account of a life destroyed and a life reconstructed.'

he has a very unique writing style which i really enjoyed, however my mum read it after me and said she really struggled with it (no punctuation, alot of swearing, fast paced). it's a really distressing and shocking read at points but at the same time very very interesting and insightful. i literally didn't put it down for days.
