Hi Fellow Dieters ! I'm jumping back on the diet wagon - after falling off spectacularly for the past 6 months Does anyone have the recipe for Jordan's juice diet ? - no, I'm not a fan of the woman myself, but heard her interview on Radio 1 last week and the juice thing sounded nice (plus I'm bored of carrot and apple juice and need new ideas). Thanks in advance if anyone can post this recipe ! Gobo.x

I don't have exact amounts, but I read about it in some magazine and kind of made it up as I went along. She supposedly had this for breakfast and lunch and then something really healthy (maybe steamed fish and veg?) for dinner. TBH, I didn't last 2 weeks on it, but my skin looked gorgeous while I was doing it. For 2 servings: 1 large can of pineapple chunks in own juice (or 1/2 whole pineapple) - don't get the crushed as it doesn't blend well juice of 1/2 lime 1/4 cucumber, cut into small pieces 1 large apple, cored and cut into small pieces large handful spinach 1/2 avocado 2 stalks celery Put the juice from the pineapple in the bottom of the blender, add the lime juice and the cucumber. Whir on liquify (or hightest setting). Add the next ingredients one at a time, liquifying each time. Add the pineapple chunks themselves last. It's kind of thick and gloopy, but it actually tastes pretty good.

Thanks so much Elliemae ! I got all the ingredients last night and made it this morning before work - to be honest I thought it would taste awful (it was so green it looked like radioactive sludge), but it actually tasted great :yay: And well done for sticking with it for almost 2 weeks - even though it tastes so good its still hard having the same food day-in day-out, so I'll be pleased if I manage it for that long too. Thanks again for the recipe Gobo. x

Im going to give this a try. TBH I need a serious detox anyway and after months of one failed diet after another, a recent attempt at atkins that left me looking ill and feeling sick I am totally ballsed off with the whole thing Ive treated myself to some vitamins and milk thistle, thrown out the cakes and booze and Ill do a trip to asda today and wash the old blender out!!! 2 weeks is a long time, but trust me I look like death right now all dehydrated and shrivelled and grey (how gorgeous am I ) I will report back, wish me luck :fingers:

Good grief the trouble Ive had making this stuff this morning!!! Attempt One: Tried to juice first, that didnt work Attempt Two: put all the stuff in the blender, its wizzing round like mad and the bottom broke: result greeen sludge ALL over the kitchen Attempt Three: put the stuff in a large bowl and blasted it with the stick blender. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED As mentioned it looks like green sludge, but does take quite good, cant say its satisfied my hunger but I am determined to stick with it I look so run down Ill report back

I was watching this guy on the tele the otherday and he says NOT to use a blender- that it does a totally different job thatn the juice and all you want to extract from the fuit and veg is its juice, and buy blending it you will lose alot of its benefits.

Well it was stick blender or nothing this morning I am afraid due to blowing up the juicer!!! At the end of the day I reckon that its not that big a deal to eat the pulp too, it sure as hell must be beating the left over pizza and crisps Ive been eating lately!!! Doing a trip to Asda now for new juicer/blender

Are you really eating enough on it though?! It seems to me you'd lose lots of weight on it, as you'd be eating hardly any calories, but once you tried to go back to *normal* foods, you'd put it all back on!

i think its a great way to detox, drop a few immediate kilos (including fluid) and correct any sugar cravings which in turn should allow ur normal eating habits to be corrected. hopefull the fealing on fantasticness and results will stop u wanting to eat crap!

I think it probably is good to use the juice diet to detox but I read an interview with Jordan the other day where she was saying that was how she was planning to eat forever! I certainly wouldn't want to never eat a solid lunch again!
