Not sure if there's anyone else out there in my position but I don't hear much usually the other way round!

Basically, I am obese, my weight swings between 15 & 16 stone and I am 5' 6 - when I go down to 15 it is nothing to do with dieting as tomorrow never comes and as a result, neither does my diet!

The thing is, I don't feel like I am overweight at all. Yeah I have body hang ups as everyone does but I'm pretty delusional about how big I am and the effects on my health. I mean, I know that in black and white I am obese and am not as thin as I see myself, but I am generally pretty happy with myself. Great, great, I know Gok would be proud but it's doing me no favours whatsoever is it.

On the odd occasions when I have actually bothered going on a diet and sticking with it, my body has responded very well. I definately can't try and say "I've tried everything, nothing works" - because quite frankly I haven't tried much and what I have tried does work.

So you're all probably thinking that I'm obviously just lazy and stupid, which I think I'd agree with as my problem is entirely my own fault and I can't try to pin the blame anywhere else. I just need to shake the delusion that I have that "I'm not that big" because I am not a healthy weight, and yes realisticaly I would LOVE to be a size 12 rather than the 16-18 that I am now. And I know it's achievable, I just bloody love eating and have no discipline.

I know this could be quite infuriating for some of you to read but please do take your fury out on your keyboard and let me know because my family and friends are far too 'nice' to tell me I'm fat and need to do something about it! Maybe it will be the motivation I need?

Awww *hugs* - I don't think anyones going to be mean! There's lots of very knowlegable baggers when it comes to nutrition...so it might help them if you post what you eat on a daily basis (including treats and alcohol!) and also if you do any exercise.
