Feeling sorry for Alex Reid?

I actually feel quite sorry for Alex Reid. He had to endure being dumped by Katie Price, via Michelle Heaton, and if sources are to be believed was planning on proposing to her. How horrible for him! Does anyone else feel this way, or am I the only one? I've already been berated by some friends for offering this opinion.
I don't feel sorry for him at all and think he was only with katie to get in the limelight. I'm glad she's dumped him
Not really, I think (that although he may have been attracted to KP) he was more attracted to the attention / celebrity / notority he obtained by being with her. Plus I don't like the way he reportedly stopped PA from speaking to his own children.
Nope! He was a hanger on as my mother would call it. He just wanted the limelight for a while, ridiculous the idea that he was going to propose to her! x

nope dont feel sorry at all, he was in it for the money, and probably why he was going to propose aswell!!
There both as bad as each other in my opinion, he should have known what to expect.
i laughed when i read that his parents called katie �cruel�...
ummmmmm people break up every day??.. and he should have known what to expect from her.. as crazy and unpredictable as she is, i never thought for one second she�d rush into another long term relationship or marriage.
i don�t feel sorry for him at all, he wanted the attention and is probably loving it even more now he�s got people feeling sorry for him!

I did actually.
I mean he was introduced to her via a mutal friend and for weeks now we have been hearing how katie has been leaving voice messages for peter and how friends are saying that despite what she says she'd get back with him in a heartbeat. There was also the clip of her crying about her own marriage in front of alex a her makeup dudes wedding. Then there was a headline last week saying "pete watch me and fall in love again" and i just thought OMG poor Alex.
He's got his own Tv show out of it though so its not all a loss.

Sorry for Alex Reid lol! No I don't. I bet he is gutted he cannot take any of Katie's dresses with him though. He did not mind moving into another man's marital home where memories of Peter still hung around, I mean they would it only took a few hours before in he zoomed. Anyway in that business they don't marry very often for love, just another jump up the ladder. Peter Andre is a gorgeous beastie. I love great Dads so Alex can take a hike.

He was in it for the fame and any potential spin off's. No doubt about it, with Katie's reputation, any guy who wants a relatively normal life, as normal as can be when dating a celeb would not be dating someone like Katie Price.
The only thing that made me laugh is she said "I'm really really happy now", she said the same thing fter being single for two months for peter. in case you have forgotten she said "I'm really really happy now", although I do not have any axe to grind with her. She does look after number, with the kids a close 2nd.
She always says I have to think about me and my kids, but puts them on tacky tv shows about her. She has enouugh money to live comfortably. But has she even tried to stay out of the limelight, hardly, she wants to go on I'm a celebrity and when her fans, make her do all those challenges, she decides enough is enough. Sound like her fans want to see her suffer a bit, I wonder why.

Alex is a good looking guy, but brutally speaking having Katie Price on his CV will escalate him him from a Z list celeb to a Y list celeb. Only sad thing for him the media will always refer to him as "Alex Reid the guy who dated Katie Price"

Of course not, that would be to put some kind of credence to their so called "relationship". KP saw an opening to get some cheap publicity and "poor" Alex saw a meal ticket and a chance to up his profile

I can't say as I do feel sorry for Alex particularly, but agree that it was a horrible way for KP to end their relationship!! From what I have read, I do wonder if they are all as bad as each other - all out for the fame and perceived glory scratching and grapsing coloumn inches at any cost. I have also been on the receiving end of some vitriol for offering MYopinions here on Handbag so understand your comment about being "berated" for having your own views!! I find this attitude a little puzzling as each of us is entitled to our own thoughts so would add that no-one should be criticised for having their own opinion, it's what makes us an individuals after all!!
