Can't say this comes as a massive surprise to be honest but I do think it's sad to see another marriage break down in the very public eye. Even in their most recent interviews they've been saying they wanted to try for another baby after their recent marathon.
Such a shame. Sure they'll both make a few quid milking the usual magazine deals though.

As you say, hardly a surprise. But it gives OK magazine potentially YEARS worth of new material! (oooh gawd 'elp us...) I can see the headlines now - "My marriage was a sexless sham" etc etc.
I am addited to their ITV 2 show and my other half ridicules me for it so sent me a link to the press release from digital spy. He claims he was looking at the apprentice news but i digress.
I'm not shocked especially after the way he spoke to her on their show last thursday. Shocking. If my other half ever addressed me insuch a manner i'd have slapped him silly!!

Was that when they were in the shop and he was being really rude, making faces at the camera and lying to the friendly sales assistant about what he did? The remark he made about 'blowing' her way to the top was appalling. I was amazed she could just ignore him.

I laughed out loud though when I read this....The pair "have both requested that the media respect their families' privacy at this difficult time". Bit rich, coming from such publicity hungry people. Will they leave us alone, is the highly improbable question? I thought they were sweet when they got together, before being inundated with information about every single detail of their lives.
However, if the split is genuine, then it's a pity that they couldn't make it work and I feel for their children.

Last week's did show him switch but what she said was a bit harsh i think.
Help, although I was watching last week I didn't really see what made him blow his top like that - too busy pottering around. What was it that she said in the first place. I have a horrible suspicion that seeing that played back on tv was the last straw for her and that friends and family on both sides were probably telling them that their behaviour showed that they'd lost respect for each other.
Perhaps it's just another Kate and Peter row and they'll make up once they've had a bit of time and distance.

i can imagine Pete also saw the photos of her night out Friday(i think) where she's snuggled upto another man whispering in his ear pissed out of her face, then pulling her top down to show her boobs off..bit pathetic for a mother with 3 kids.
She always gave me the impression that she treated him like %&*$#. I didn't see the episode where he was apparently rude but I imagine that's been a long time coming for him, he seems to have had more than enough patience on many occasions.
aww i was quite sad to hear this, i got a text earlier by my stepdad and i txt him back saying dont believe everything u hear on the radio -i wouldnt, then a few minutes later my bf text me sayin the same thing! lol. so as i was driving i switched to the radio and heard that their management said they had split up, i then looked on yahoo and everywhere seemed to have it as big news. lol. in a way its a shock as they have two kids together, they've only recently done the marathon together, they only last year renewed their vows, they were talking about having another baby by the end of the year, even in this weeks NEW magazine in Peter's column he says how after the marathon they'll start tryin for a baby, however he does say how they haven't had much sex atm. And from last weeks katie and peter show, they did seem quite distant, even though it was made in february, they didnt seem so lovey dovey, and you could see the friction between them. how katie says how riding her horse makes her so happy, they didnt seem bery happy together. andkatie in particular wasn't being very lovey towards him she seemed the distant one! to be honest im sure theyll make up and get back together, i doubt they would actually divorce. in a weeks time im sure theyll b bk together just like Kerry and whatever his name is

Earlier this year there was a magazine cover to say that Pete specifically requested that Katie should not have more surgery as shes very insecure. Katie has had a lot of surgery but this stems from her problems with her body image.
I think that Katie is very publicly minded where Pete does not mind being in the background. Pete may be sick of her demanding life.
This is a marriage in the full blown of the media.
I'm really sorry for her kids - one of them has special needs and it is going to be difficult for them as they are so young.

She is an absolute cow to Pete, he deserves a medal for putting up with her gob for this long. I feel really sorry for people who allow themselves to be treated like that.
