Mine did that too, this was due to mine been synthetic... but i washed them and thoroughly brushed them and the bulge was gone! I now buy reall hair and a good comb now again avoids this happening.

They are advertising hair extensions but they say theirs have tangled up, not really a ringing endorsement hehe.

I'm not a fan of extensions myself, too much hassle. You get a volume look simply by using large rollers, no need for extensions at all (though they are v popular at the moment)
