My hair is naturally sort of dark brown but over the last 2 years have gone lighter and lighter until decided that it did not suit me so yesterday took the plunge after thinking about it for 2 months and told hairdresser wanted to go chocolate brown. It is now more like dark brown /black and absolutely hate it. Do not want to look in the mirror just depresses me.
Phoned hairdresser this morning and the earliest I can get it done is Wednesday to try and calm the colour down a bit.
Am in despair. In hairdressers he could see was not very happy with the colour and put some highlights to try and break it up which do help but it just looks so dark and black to me.

The last hair disaster I had when I was 11 and let my mom cut my hair before a school trip and she cut it waaay too short since she didn’t realize curly hair is longer when wet. I was traumatized! So I can kind of relate. Although I am sure you still look infinitely better than I did Hopefully it will grow back soon to a length you love!
