Just wondering if anyone could recommend a good skin care routine? I have combination skin and am prone to breakouts around my chin. I have been looking at the clinique range but dont want to waste the money if it isn't any good. Any recommendations?
I swear by and would never deviate from Dermalogica. I have combi skin which is more dehydrated in the winter and more oily in the summer. I was told breakouts around the chin area are hormonal and are common in women.
Anyhoo, I use special clearing gel, multiactive toner and active moist. My skin is noticeably better from using these products and I would highly recommend them having tried everything else out there!

Hi, Clinique's is a good range but I think you can get the same (and better) products for cheaper. The one essential from their range for someone with your skin type (like me!) is their Clarifying Lotion. I use strength 2 and it really clears any excess oil or residue left on your skin after you cleanse. The soap in the kit isn't really worth the money though in my opinion and you'd be better off finding a much deeper cleanser. I think soaps just sweep away the surface layer of your skin without really cleansing down into pores. I love Liz Earle Hot Cloth cleanser, but essentially any good cleansing milk or cream massaged into your skin and washed off with a warm soft cloth (muslin cloths are great) will give you a really gentle and thorough cleanse. Cleansers which are too harsh often exacerbate oily skin and make it produce even more oil, and make the less oily parts of your skin too dry so your foundation goes on unevenly. The Clinique moisturiser is a good one and you'd probably get on very well with the Moisturising Gel which feels lovely on skin but I have recently been using Nivea's Oil Free Moisturising Fluid and the results are pretty much the same, for about a quarter of the price! You could try a serum between your moisturiser and toner - I like Estee Lauder's Idealist which tightens pores and evens out skin tone. Then at the end of your routine Mario Badescu's Drying Lotion will clear up any problem areas, although it's a bit pricey (16) it's well worth it! Anna xxx

I used clinique for years and recently changed to Eve Lom routine around christmas and love it.
Have more recently started doing the oil cleansing method (google it) and has cleared my skin up so much, i have no spots at the moment for the first time in about 10 years. Will just have to work on the scars left now!
Today many varieties of skin care creams coming in the market. But we have select creams according to our type of skin.Like if our skin is oily one then we have to use dry cold creams and similarly if we have dry skin then we have to use liquify creams which are oily in nature. In the case of choosing the cream you should be aware of those ingredients which are available in the creams.

I am completely agreed with you. Today, the cosmetic products are going costly day by day, and its very difficult to choose which product will be most effective for our face skin. For this we have to consult the professional doctor,s, that,s also expensive..
Could any one would like to suggest the most effective and regionable product for my oly skin face.
