Subject: What brand of makeup brushes do you prefer?

I have mostly MAC brushes and I am happy with all of them. I recently purchased a Smashbox crease defining brush and it's also excellent.

Just wondering what brushes you ladies like to use. Do you have a favorite brush that stands out?

I love my MAC 219 brush as well.

Brushes are expensive for a few reasons, the first is that most high quality brushes are made from animal hair, so factor in the cost of feed, housing and proper care for that animal that helped make your brush.

I prefer Body Shop brushes, not made from animal hair, beautifully soft, good quality, as with other brushes you look after them they look after you.

Eco Tools. I've tried just about every brand out there, but these are gorgeous. And cheap! I've seen them in Boots, Superdrug and Tesco.

It doesnt matter which type of make up brushes you use as long as it gives a clean professional effect, but the truth is you need a decent pair of brushes. Cheap alternatives are the Body Shop which are perfect because of their soft effect, but if you can afford a little more expense MAC brushes are professional and easy to use! x

I have a wide variety! I don't think I actually own any two make-up brushes of the same brand.

I've got a M.A.C eyeliner brush, Boots bronzer brush, a Tescos powder brush, a Ruby and Millie foundation brush, some random pink thing that that I use for feathering out my foundation, I can't remember the make off but it's very nice and only 5.

I'm not entirely convinced that you have to get expensive brushes, some of the cheaper ones are good too. I do go a bit weak at the knees over M.A.C brush rolls though, but I honestly can't justify the cost!

Yes Eco Tools are good and really well priced. Get them in Superdrug and Tesco.
OR Max Factor and Topshop have a new range out which look very good.

Hope this helps, Katie
