Subject: Which permanent blow dry treatment????

Hello girls!

I am looking into having my hair permanently blow dried and have only really heard about the treatment offered at the Daniel Hersheson salon in London. I have read a few posts on here about various treatments, but just wanted to clarify which treatment, and at which salon, people would suggest??

Would love to hear some of your success stories and any recommendations you may have.

Thank you.

Now, is a permenant blow-dry the same as Brazillian hair straightening?

Sorry to highjack the thread a bit, but I'm really confused by this... the permanent blow dry seems really rather expensive, for the amount of time it lasts, but I understand when it's called Brazillian straightening it can be cheaper?!

I've had my hair Yuko'd once, which was OK, but I'm addicted to bleach so not many salons will do my hair. The one in London I went to was very pricey & even though it was meant to improve my hairs condition, it left my ends feeling a bit dry. Although it was very straight and lasted for ages!! If it wasn't for my addiction for changing my very dark hair different colours, I'd definitely stick with Yuko!

To the OP, if you don't have bleached/lightened hair, I would recommend the Yuko system, as it's better value because it lasts forever (except regrowth which isn't too difficult to manage unless you hair is super-duper curly).

I shall watch this thread with great interest, would love to hear what other baggers have to say!!!

really sorry for the delay in response I have been on my hols! yes i had the Kerastraight treatment just before I went and was well impressed, I think its similar to the brazilian blow dry thing as this too originates from brazil. my hair was transformed into smooth shiney and straight hair from coarse and thick with dry ends from the ghd's and a tendency to frizz. I have put it through the mill on hol in egypt over the last two weeks with swimming in a pool and / or sea water every day, so its been washed daily and has bounced back every night to smooth and shiny, i did not trust it and packed my ghds but did not use them at all! It was almost dead straight but with a slight turn on the ends which would have been easy to smooth with ghds if I wanted but to be honest its srtaight enough especially for daily work and i can easliy smooth it out more if I want for a eve look. so in a nutshell, i really recomend it, it certainly worked for me. My stylist explained that its better than YUKO for people who have coloured, bleached or damaged hair as it actually adds condition and honestly my dry ends from the GHD's were transformed. its supposed to last 3 - 4 months so isnt permanent and yes this is expensive but for damaged hair its amazing. My stylist has used it on very dry bleached hair and said it worked miracles, so I am converted. good luck
