Can anyone help me?
About April this year my boyfriends car died and went to auto heaven.
As we only live about 2 miles from his work he had always intended to cycle to work during the summer, so we cancelled the insurance.
Now that it's coming winter again he will need another car to go to work. Can't manage with public transport as he is a gritter driver and often gets called out in the middle of the night etc. So our intention has always been to get a cheap little run around car for him to use.
My question is, having driven and had fully comp insurance for 25 years, will his no claims count, or will there be a problem because he's not had any insurance in his own right for about 5-6 months.

i lost mine after a gap of about a year, it depends on the insurance company but there is a limit. call them and ask!
