Subject: Online dating
Hey everyone! So I'm going through a MASSIVE dry spell and getting really desperate for a guy, so I thought lets try online dating!!!:/ What a bust that was!!! So I'm registered to a couple of dating websites, I'm kind of new to the online dating world and not sure how it works, if I'm doing right or even if it's for me :s. I've been checking out the same guys everyday ( no new ones ) on these sites; I've chatted up 5 and 3 have chatted me but here's the bit that's confused me; after we're past the whole first awkward phase and have exchanged emails, numbers, added on facebook or msn messanger and are chatting away the 'fatal question' arises: 'Do you wanna share some pictures?' I've said no and I've said yes twice, no matter what I don't or do agree to I get the same resault, they immediatly cut contact! So I'm asking you guys who maybe a little more experienced than I am, is this a trick question when tey really want to end things? Is there a right or wrong answer? What would you recommend in this situation? Please can anyone help?

Thanks in advance xoxo

I've not tried internet dating myself but from listening to other people's experiences, the general message seems to be: proceed with caution!

I don't think that whether you said yes or no to sharing pictures had anything to do with them disappearing and cutting contact as they would have done that anyway regardless of your answer if they didn't want to continue communicating with you...but I might be totally off the mark.

There's no right or wrong answer to the question though, it all depends on what you're personally comfortable with.

Just follow your instinct and don't be afraid to walk away if something seems a bit dodgy. Only you will know if internet dating is right for you but just enjoy the experience and try not to get disheartened if things like this happen again.

Well IMHO, men are very funny creatures...funny odd not (always) funny ha ha.....So it COULD be that if you agree to swapping pix, they think that its something you do all the while...and if you say no, they COULD think that you're some sort of prude...idk....so its a lose-lose situation...if I were you..next time the question arises, simply say...maybe when we know each other better..or I would like to see a pic of your FACE....don't forget the men on these sites are in the same boat as you..and are unsure of what to do or the 'rules'..just be careful if you do get far enough to take it offline into RL...meet in a pulic place thats known to YOU....don't head anywhere unfamiliar...good luck..and have fun...
