I decided after a disastrous first date a year ago that I wasn't ready to date, so I gave myself sometime to finalise my divorce, not been with my ex for seven years so not a recent split, just needed to tie up all the loose ends.
Anyway to the matter in hand decided to do on-line dating again, been chatting to a someone and we decided to meet up, anyway I couldn't do this weekend, so we have made arrangements to meet next Saturday, I have a day a time and a meeting place, we have each others mobile numbers and have had quite alot of texting, he sent me a new pic of himself. I never heard from him all day Friday until I got a text saying now you know what I look like ive not heard from you have I put you off, told him quite the opposite and we exchanged a few more texts.
I was with friends last night and after they'd left me I texted him to say that I hoped next Saturday would be as good as the one ive just had, he knew I.was cooking for friends. Ive had no reply, my intuition has now kicked in and it's telling me I wont hear from him again.
Now fed up again, feeling that I never will get a first date ever again.

Hun don't let that dishearten you...he may be busy OR maybe just a lil more nervous about making your date as good!!! Don't stress though, you know you were being light hearted about it...
If anything drop him a lil text sometime which indicates you are still looking forward to seeing him Sat and take it from there. Don't mention the previous text to make him feel it is an issue & that he has got a lot to live up to.

Intuition was right, never heard from him again, certainly wasn't going to text him again, he ignored an email and a text.
Now deleted myself from the dating site as they are full of players and people who are attached, they seem to think us singletons are desperados.
I hope that one day fate will finally intervene.
