So, I'm sick and tired of having turkey for christmas lunch... Do any of you have suggestions for something different to feed the family this year?

Goose? Although I'm a vegetarian now and no longer eat it myself, my mum still makes a fabulous goose every year - make sure to properly prick the bird all over, rub it with salt and pepper and roast in a roasting tin with about an inch of water around it to make it all crispy

Last year I did roast pork and a duck and didn't miss the turkey at all! I'm with you on that one and get fed up of the same thing every year

You could always go for one of the 3-bird roasts, I fancy trying one of those to make a nice change.

What did you have in the end, Lady Witch? Did you stick with turkey or branch out?

Mother-in-law cooked this year and she wanted something 'different' but ended up with a turkey breast and joint of pork, was very nice though

I had a 3-bird roast this year, it was super easy to cook (the outer bird was duck, then chicken, then guinea fowl). I also did a roast ham glazed with apricot and mustard!

That sounds gorgeous!
I've never eaten guinea fowl before, is it a rich flavour?
