I hate winter! I know I'm not going to be warm for the next 3-4 months even with the heating on, fluffy slippers and my snuggle blanket... Does anyone have a sure-fire way to keep warm this winter? (keep it clean ladies!)

Hmm, I wonder whether your iron levels are high enough? Also, I found a blanket I can make into a "coat" to walk around in, and find microwaveable heat packs (and slippers) very helpful - plus a bit of exercise every day, seems to get the circulation going.

Honestly, I know it sounds old fashioned but wear layered clothing and wear a bandana or hat on your head indoors. It really does keep you warmer.

I'm currently wearing 4 layers, a JML Bandarf and Damart Fingerless Gloves and my heating is barely on.

I know how you feel!! I'm like ice to touch even with the heating on. I have an electric blanket to help me thaw out in the night ;P

I wear fluffy socks and wearing layers is a good way to stay warm. I also wear cosy hoodies so I can put the hood up when I'm feeling cold......I must look an idiot but I'm a warm idiot lol x x

Lots of warm drinks too.

I know how you feel! I'm another big fan of layering (I usually wear about four layers and two pairs of socks) but I still feel the cold.

Exercise, like Willows says, is a brilliant way to deal with it though. I'm really out of shape so I get very warm very easily, so a bit of jogging (it's actually nice in the winter, you get nicely warm instead of too hot like the summer!) or hula-hooping gets me toasty quickly - and it's cheaper than having the heating on.

I have a shawl that I use when I'm feeling cold across my back, it's quite thin but that extra layer makes a big difference.

Try a hot water bottle or wheat bag, and if you're sitting for any length of time a blanket/throw over your legs

Thanks for all the suggestions guys... I must admit that I've taken to wearing multiple pairs of socks etc. However, I really dont think I can drink enough hot chocolate to make a dent without piling on the weight... which is the last thing I need before Christmas!
