Which coffee shop do you prefer?

With lots of chain store coffee shops springing up just about anywhere, I was wondering which one you prefer?
Not a huge fan of the chains, I hate Starbucks and I think their coffee takes rancid! I quite like Black Medicine in Edinburgh, though I don't know if they are a chain...there are a few branches anyhow...
Caffe Nero everytime- their coffee is stronger and cheaper than the others 
I find them all overpriced! Cafe Nero's definitely cheaper than some of the others, but I usually end up going to a small place my friends and I meet at, since the coffee's usually a bit cheaper and the staff recognise us now.
There's something a little soul-destroying about some chains... they're just everywhere and there's nothing really personal about them.

I have to say I prefer Costa. This sounds obvious, but I have one in my town and the coffee there is really good! I also like a small tearoom. It isn't part of a chain of shops, though. Their food is really nice! But I love the cakes in Costa. I don't go there often, but will definitely have to go again soon!
Costa without a doubt! Starbucks is the worst coffee shop I've tried but I think Nero's is ok.
Costa for a large hot chocolate with a splash of hazelnut syrup... yum!
I still like Starbucks for the environment.
