You could try groupon I usually buy a few things off there when visiting somewhere, you can get some good deals on very nice restaurants and bars etc. There might be a theatre show or something but that depends if you get lucky!
I had a lovely time in Edinburgh, lot's of galleries and pretty walks if that's your thing. I visited with a group of friends all early 20's, found ourselves in a very local pub full of older gents, all VERY Scottish, and ended up with a lot of whiskies bought for us

What kind of things are you interested in? Here are my suggestions for food, as you've got to eat, right?
For food, I would definitely recommend Urban Angel (one on Forth Street near Broughton Street and another on Hanover Street), as well as any fo the Dogs Restaurants (2 on Hanover Street).
Scottish Food: Urban Angel, Ghillie Dhu, the Dogs
Italian: Vincaffe (Multrees Walk), Valvona and Crolla (Elm Row), Strada (Frederick or Castle Street, I can't remmebr which), AMore Dogs, Asti (Broughton Street)
French: Le Petit Paris (Grassmarket), Hotel du Vin
Brunch: Porto and Fi on the MOund
Crepes: Tupiniquim (police box at the Meadows)
