Yeah Melb is lovely, I've also lived in Vancouver and it's been in top 4 most liveable cities in the world. I now live in Wellington, NZ and it's quite nice too and been voted the coolest little capital city in the world.
Lots of factors make a place liveable for me it's the atmosphere , standard of living, transport, availability of activities.

I would have to say London, but it is my home and I love it! Although I understand that it's not exactly known for being friendly to newcomers
