One of our dogs is a spaniel cross, if you smooth him on the left side of his head his tail wags only to that side, and vice versa if you smooth the right side of his head.
He cracks me up and has a really comical personality.

One of my girls (also a spaniel cross) has developed this weird habit of, instead of turning her head to look at me, just keeps on leaning back until she can see me - albeit upside-down! I have no idea what's prompted her to start doing this, but she's always been weird... as a puppy she used to walk backwards across the room rather than turn around. She was never scared or afraid to turn her back on me, she seems to have just found it more convenient!

Her sister we call a 'mountain of reproach'. If we do something she doesn't approve of, she sits, leans back and stares at us with this expression of distain. And if you blow on her she takes herself off and sulks. Despite that she loves to come for cuddles and will burrow under your arms to get closer.

I love them both dearly and wouldn't change them for the world, but I really do wonder what's going through their tiny brains sometimes!

Well our cat Holly is mad for food - whenever we're eating, she sits there staring at us waiting for us to give here some of what we're eating (the other day, she gulped down butternut squash...). The strangest thing she did was linger around my keyboard when I was having my morning bowl of muesli while uploading some pictures form my digicam - playfully knocking the camera off its perch. Hastily putting my bowl down and diving under the desk to retrieve the camera, I resurfaced to see our cat happily munching the muesli (and very unhappily found that my camera would not work any longer, as the zoom suffered permanent damage) - design or accident, I ask ?

My kitten (13 weeks) dive bombs my dog! The other day doggy was lying on his back, legs akimbo, and kitten had a right old munch on his delicate bits! Poor dog...

My cat also eats the strangest things! Once I found her sat there munching on my pizza (that I had put LOADS of garlic on!) after I got up to answer the phone!

She yawns and miaows at the same time.

And as I am typing this, she is resting her chin on my moving hand!

My mother's cat is a real pain for stealing food! He weighs a ton but it doesn't stop him. When he was younger, she was eating and glanced down to see a piece of cucumber a short distance away from her plate. She thought it was weird, picked it up and put it on the side... and then saw this little chocolate paw sneak out and steal a piece of tomato! I'd like to think he wouldn't try to eat it, but he's eaten onions before happily, so I don't know...

Aelskar, it sounds so cute that your cat's resting her head on your hand like that!

Alicefalling... that poor dog! How fast did he scarper??
