One of my girls (also a spaniel cross) has developed this weird habit of, instead of turning her head to look at me, just keeps on leaning back until she can see me - albeit upside-down! I have no idea what's prompted her to start doing this, but she's always been weird... as a puppy she used to walk backwards across the room rather than turn around. She was never scared or afraid to turn her back on me, she seems to have just found it more convenient!
Her sister we call a 'mountain of reproach'.

If we do something she doesn't approve of, she sits, leans back and stares at us with this expression of distain. And if you blow on her she takes herself off and sulks. Despite that she loves to come for cuddles and will burrow under your arms to get closer.
I love them both dearly and wouldn't change them for the world, but I really do wonder what's going through their tiny brains sometimes!
