Subject: Protect your bubble: Terrible insurance company - stay away
I'm posting this to advise people to stay away from Protect your Bubble. They're a terrible company.

I insured my iphone with them - it's got everything on it and I use it all the time for work and personal use. So I wanted peace of mind. I even paid extra for loss insurance.

Last week my phone was stolen on my way home from work. I realised on my way home that I didn't have my phone in my handbag but I thought I'd left it at work as I use it all the time for work whilst in the office - switching between pc and phone depending on what I'm doing. I got in the next day, couldn't find it anywhere, no one had seen it. So I promptly reported it to protect your bubble, my service provider and police. I submitted the claim (at which point pyb said my account was cancelled because they hadn't realised I'd paid the annual premium in one and not monthly!).

The rejected it because they say I didn't report it to my service provider within 12 hours of realising it was lost/stolen. Except I did - when I got into work the next day. Up til that point, I truly believed it was on my desk at work.

Turns out it must have been stolen in a busy shop when I was buying some food for dinner as international calls were made on it after I realised it wasn't in my handbag.

So I appealed. Heard nothing. Phoned today, was told that appeals aren't dealt with online and the appeals team don't take calls and to email. So I did, got an automated response -the same one to my original appeal! They don't even have someone manning their emails! It's disgraceful customer service.

Every step of the way I've had to phone them at 10p per minute from a landline.

They will do anything to get out of not paying a claim. Stay away from them - insure with your home insurance or service provider instead. These are a waste of time and money.

This whole thing has caused me stress and anxiety - I really need a phone and can't afford to buy a new iphone. That's why I had insurance. I'm not eating or sleeping right, and I'm not focused at work - easily distracted. I'm thinking of seeing my doctor!

I don't normally complain, I just felt I had to let you know so no one else has to go through what I'm going through.
