I've had my hair cut into a bob now (not that I wanted a bob, but my hairdresser thought it best, and people seem to think it suits me), and find my hair forever getting in the way, whether I'm exercising, gardening or reading. I've been thinking of getting a hair band, but haven't found anything that doesn't make me look like Alice in Wonderland... any ideas?

I have a fabric hair band, it's quite a wide one (2-3 inches wide) and it works well with keeping my fringe out of the way. I found some of the 'half bands' were quite tight. The good thing with the fabric ones is that you don't feel any pressure above your ears

I bought mine in Claire's Accessories
