I'm reading Michael McIntyre's Life and Laughing at the moment. It's really good (makes me LOL - literally!).

Any recommendations for when I've finished this one?

I'm just coming to the end of "Goodbye, dearest Holly" by Kevin Wells. It's heart wrenching but at the same time un-put-downable. At the opposite end of the scale to the one you're currently reading

Kevin describes how he felt about Holly's disappearance (with her friend Jessica Chapman), the search for both girls, the discovery of their bodies, the trial of Ian Huntley and Maxine Carr, and life in general. Definitely recommended

diammie, thank you for the recommendation - one to read with a box of tissues to hand by the sounds of it.

Just wish there had been a happy ending to Holly and Jessica's disappearance.

Will take a look when I've finished this one.

I didn't realise until just now that I'm not actually reading anything. I'm just going to bed and conking out...

I WAS reading a Neal Asher book (violent, very funny sci-fi) but put it aside a while ago while I read something else. I think I might have to pick it up again.

My mother keeps telling me to read Michael Palin's diaries as they're apparently really humourous - have you read them?

I always like to have at least one book on the go. Sometimes I start one and find it heavy going so put it down for a few days before trying again, but in the meantime I've picked up another... a bit of a book worm

I've not read any Michael Palin, but I'm not really into bios etc, I'm more of a crime/thriller reader. Let us know if you do read one of his books, it might make a change to murders and the like

I was given Michelle Lovric's "The Book Of Human Skin" recently and I've started reading that. It's much funnier than the title sounds. Historical fiction, very good so far!

Diammie, my mother hates and loathes bios! I think Palin's are the only ones we have in the house... I will get around to reading them but they're a bit daunting, each one is huge!
