Hi, anyone else applied for tickets for the London Olympic games?
I applied for a ticketing account earlier today and am still waiting for the confirmation email... Maybe it will arrive in 2012...

Impatient me! Received it yesterday and have applied to go see the synchronised swimming. Bit random I know, but I just fancied it... Nice idea that you can pay your child's age as their price on some events (including this one).

I was quite tempted 'cause I'd love to see the tennis, but I don't really know enough about how they try to charge you for it - do you select an upper limit to how much you can pay?
I'd probably end up at the back with no view on a really obscure court anyway.

You just select the ticket price that suits your budget. If you select an upper limit it gives you more choice, but you'd have to be prepared to pay the highest price That's why I just went for the £20 tickets, but there are five of us going, and hey, even if we don't see much, it's the experience right?!
They hold your credit card details until June when they select who gets tickets. If you're successful then they debit your card and if not, well, nothing happens I guess.

Hey Aestivalis, sorry, just noticed your post.
I didn't get tickets in the first round unfortunately, then when they were offered in the second round, the only things left pretty much were footy which didn't really appeal.
Shame - would have been an experience.
Oh well - will just have to go shopping nearby at the new Westfield instead.
