Is anyone else doing this? In a nutshell, the basic premise is that you write a 100-page script in 30 days - for anything, a film, a stage play, even a graphic novel - and the deadline is supposed to help motivate you.

In practice... I've done it for several years now and I've never actually managed to finish it. My best was about 54 pages and my worst... er, about 3! On the other hand, a couple of my friends have also done it and completed it comfortably.

If you've done it before, how did you do? And if not... are you tempted?

Wow, that sounds like a challenge! One of my life goals is to write a novel, but I have to say that it's been on hold for a good few years now. (I keep telling myself I'll do it when I have more 'life experience - hu-hum!)

Maybe I should try your challenge first though. I'll get back to you in 30 days.

It's definitely a challenge (so challenging that, er, I've still not written anything... going to knuckle down this week!) but it's definitely one way to get going!

Now if only my characters would actually get together and form a plot...

You might be more interested in NaNoWriMo - it's done by the same people who organise Script Frenzy but the basic premise is to write 50,000 words of a novel in the month of November. It sounds terrifying but it's really exhilarating, especially when you only squeak through the deadline! (My worst: by about five words, five minutes before the cut-off time... )

That sounds really interesting! I love writing and have written a few short stories. It'd be interesting to write a script. I'll have to think about this.
