Hi everybody
Mu husband keeps pestering me that we should upgrade to HD, but I keep telling him this is just a male obsession and I can't see what we'd get out of it. Of course considering that I'm totally ignorant LOL - SO am I? Is it great, worth the extra money?

We had to get a new TV recently so we opted for a 37inch Saamsung LCD HD. It's absolutely brilliant but as long as you have satalite TV with HD channels. We shopped around on line and got the best deal from Amazon, I'm sure we paid £370, which I think is very reasonable. I would definitely recommend HD TV. My friends recently upgraded to the Samsung 3D TV, have to say I was pretty impressed. Think you can buy them for around £650.
HD Tv's are well worth it, and with the introduction of 3D tv's now, I can see the prices tumbling down soon.
One bit of advice is to look for the contrast ratio.
It should be listed as for example 1:5000 or is it 5000:1
Basically it means number 1 is the colour white and the higer number which in the this case is 5000 is the colour black. So the higher the ratio's the better colours you get on the TV
