I am looking for feedback from owners of 7 seaters - we are currently looking into buying one, but even after reading tons of reviews I am still not sure what the best options are.
Apart from needing to accommodate 3 children in child seats we also have a dog, and I noticed how small the boot space is when you have all the seat up in a 7-seater.

I'm looking to trade in my car, was thinking of a Vauxhall Zafira. I've got baby no. 2 on the way so would like a roomy car. I have spoken to a few people about MPV's and the key thing they have told me is that they are absolutely rubbish in the snow. Which is a concern since we have moved out the city and have just experienced nearly a month of snow. What are other peoples experiences? Sorry Lynndzee didn't mean to muscle in on your topic but it's something I'm interested in finding out about too 
No worries sp9rkles The more the merrier! And snow performance is a very good point. We live in a very rural area and the side roads can be a nightmare.
We looked around a few weeks ago and really liked the Mitsubishi Grandis (although not sure they make that new anymore). Also saw ads for a Ford Grand C-Max? Looked good but then ads always do!

The Mitsubishi Grandis? Haven't come across that one before, have to check that one out.
Yeah the snow is such a big consideration now. I barely got out my drive never mind my street for nearly a week in December. Ideally I would love a 4x4 but they are so pricey especially ones with a large enough boot! Also they aren't the most economical to run.

I have a VW Touran which is pretty good. 3 child seats in the back no problem and then an extra 2 seats in the back if needed. They are really easy to put up and down, and its amazing how they disappear into the car (ie you dont need to take them out or anything). The boot still isnt as big as an estate boot though big enough. When all the 7 seats are up it is small!
One issue is the running costs of 7-seaters - I did my research on www.nextgreencar.com - you can search on car type and see the road tax, co2, fuel per mile etc. There is a real difference in running costs dependent on what specific model you select.
