Does anyone have any writing-based New Years resolutions?

I think my biggest resolution is to actually write more, rather than just thinking about writing. After all, what's the use of having ideas if we don't put them into action, right?

Is it too early to be thinking about it? Please tell me I'm not the only one!

I dont think it is too early and if you are anything like me I spend all year thinking about the things I should do more or less of. Maybe the best thing to do is live in the moment and act more on the impulses we get from time to time rather than making plans to be more or do more. Sometimes is better to do some things without asking the brais permission (my new favourite quote).

I acutally misquoted - and spelling was awful

Sometimes the heart should do things without the brains permission.

Oh and yes, plan to be impulsive! Weird! Lets just not make any plans but be willing to act on impulse.

I don't know, I think the typoed version works well too.

But yes, I see what you mean, and it's still a brilliant quote.

I went rooting around for last year's NYRs but apparently I didn't make any! I suspect I thought I'd feel disappointed in myself if I didn't succeed, but instead I just feel disappointed that I have nothing to check my progress against.
