The day has finally arrived - despite the support of the nations teenaged girls. their gravity-defying hair and even stage invasions from international dance artists, Jedward's time in the X Factor house has finally come to an end.
Going head-to-head against Olly Murs in the live sing-off, with a fantasically off-key version of No Matter What by Boyzone, John and Edward Grimes failed to beat Olly's soulful rendition of Eric Clapton's classic Wonderful Tonight. With Cheryl and Simon voting to save Olly, and Louis backing his own act, it was down to Dannii Minogue to send the twins home to Dublin.
What will we do now that we don't have the love-em-or-hate-em twins in the competition? Did Jedward deserve to be voted out of the X Factor?
