20:00 It's the guilty pleasures and heroes week, and we're about to delve into the deep, dark embarrassing musical pasts of the contestants. We can't wait. We're also preparing to be reminded how awful our own musical taste is. They're fighting for a place in next week's semi-finals. So it's all to play for tonight.

20:10 LittleMix are up first and they're doing a mashup of Justin Bieber and Diana Ross. We think it's great, Louis and Kelly don't agree. Gary Barlow does though, we knew that man spoke sense.

20:23 Janet Devlin sings Umm Bop by Hanson, mediocerly, and then forgets her words. She redeems herself by looking like she's about to throw up on Dermot while he asks her what went wrong. At least she has a second song this week.

20:24 Misha B sings Girls Just Want To Have Fun by Cyndi Lauper, putting Janet Devlin to shame. It was brilliant, and the audience chanted her name. Oh oh, competition just got hot again.

20:37 Marcus Collins brings George Michael to the X Factor for the first time this competition, singing I'm Your Man. Gary Barlow tells him off for not believing in himself, and he gets amazing comments from all of the judges. We fancy Marcus Collins so so badly. He can be our man any day!

20:43 Amelia Lily has a crazy guy running around in Middlesborough running around painted pink with 'vote Amelia Lily' scrawled on his chest. And she's happy about this. Singing T'PAu's China In Your Hands we're not entirely sure how this song is a guilty pleasure. She rocked the song, and gave us goosebumps. We love Amelia Lily. She seems to have such a positive outlook on everything, who else would have been through her X Factor journey and still be smiling? Gary Barlow says to Amelia that it's nice to hear the song sung in tune - T'Pau must be so pleased.

20:56 Little Mix are on the stage for the second time, and they're singing Beautiful by Christina Aguilera. This week they've been to Radio 1's surgery show, to talk about their body image. It's the perfect song for Little Mix, if not a little contrived, as Jessie was teased because of her looks earlier on in the show. It's a really moving performance. Gary Barlow points out that they have friendship, which makes them a great band.

21:03 Kudos to Janet Devlin. It must have taken guts to come out on stage for the second time tonight after she fluffed her words earlier in the show. Janet Devlin's singing Under The Bridge by The Red Hot Chilli Peppers. We're giving a glimpse of her boyfriend, because it's his favourite song too, he's a bit greasy is all we have to say. But it's sweet that he's there to support her. This is a brilliant song choice. Gary Barlow isn't pleased though. He says that the only thing that's interesting about Janet is that she's being herself, and that's ultimately what they're looking for.

21:16 Misha B is singing Killing Me Softly by the Fugees, the perfect song choice for her. This performance is stripped back compared to her earlier one. Seriously Misha B was made to sing this song. Double whammy.

21:20 Marcus Collins also strips things back for his version of Stevie Wonders' Lately, he's just on stage with a massive red piano. Post-box red, probably to tie in with the postman/delivering theme that Louis keeps talking about. It's not the greatest rendition we've heard. We're getting a bit bored of Marcus Collins though, we hate to admit it. It took him a while to get going, and it was good when he did, but we don't think it was good enough.

21:25 Amelia Lily is taking on Kelly Clarkson's Since U Been Gone. It's a big song, and we're not sure she has the vocal ability to take it on. We're right, it's good but it's not great.

So there we have it. Who deserves to be in the semi-finals? Will Janet Devlin's fumble with the words of her song cost her the competition? Has Marcus lost that loving feeling? Will Amelia Lily's fans think it's time you were gone? We'll find out tomorrow.
