Handbag's got The X Factor - The first live show
If you thought that The X Factor had taken over your life already, things are about to get a whole lot worse. As Tulisa said tonight, the 'gloves are about to come off.' Wave goodbye to your Saturday and Sunday nights, we're through to the live shows.
19:34 First things first, who wins in the style stakes? Well, Kelly Rowland's apparently been taking style advice from Michael Flatly, wearing what can only be described as a river dance outfit, while Tulisa goes for a 'meh' outfit, sticking with beige. We're not impressed. And Tulisa's hair looks grey on top.
19:36 Amelia Lily's first up, and her hair's been dyed pink. Which we think was a huge mistake. Apparently Kelly's already decided who she wants to win, because 'she's her little pop star,'. Singing Michael Jackson's Billy Jean Amelia pulls her Christina Aguilera impression out of the bag. But we're not that wowed.
Next up, Johnny Robinson arrived inside a glitter ball, before breaking out Cher's Do You Believe - absolute entertainment. Gary Barlow didn't like it, he told Johny that Louis had turned him into a circus act. Harsh words.
20:00 Rhythmix are taking to the stage next, and not before Tulisa's told us all that she's pretty confident they're staying. We can't help but feel sorry for the girls, who definitely didn't have that 'super bass' in the Nicky Minaj song they covered. Gary Barlow tells the girls that they're possibly the best girl band that's ever been on The X Factor Hardly hard though is it?
20:08 Frankie Cocozza, who hasn't really had much of a makeover and still looks like the artful dogder , sings Ed Sheeran's A Team. Kelly Rowland flirts with Frankie when giving constructive criticism, is there any boy in the competition that she doesn't fancy?
strong>20:16 Sophie Habibis is the next up, and sings Katy Perry's Teenage Dream, in her own acoustic style. As she stepped off the piano, Kelly Rowland kindly reminded her to pull her skirt down, save she embarrass herself on national television. Sophie to win so far!
20:23 JohnJo Kerr sings The Kinks You Really Got Me, we're unimpressed. The dancers were good though.
20:38 The one group that must make Louis Walsh wish he'd got the groups is 2 Shoes who were absolutely brilliant tonight. They sung Girls Aloud Something Kinda Ooh, and aside from a lipstick mishap on the girl with brown hair, were brilliant.
20:43 James Michael looks like a shoe shiner on a New York street while he sings The Beatles' Ticket To Ride. It was good, but very very safe.
20:54 When we first heard that Misha Bryan had dropped the rest of her surname, except the B, we thought who does she think she is? Then we watched her jaw-droppingly awesome performance and had nothing else to say about it. What a star! Amazing!
21:00 The band with the least chemistry? Had to be Nu Vibe, Something just wasn't clicking. There was also no need for the shirt-lifting, someone needs to tell that guy he's not David Gandy. Louis loved it though, no suprise there. Tulisa, warned that she was about to get a bit feisty before telling Gary 'he must be mental' and thoroughly disappointing the whole nation.
21:10 Marcus Collins does a great job of covering Maroon 5's Move Like Jagger, moving across the stage like Carlton from Fresh Prince Of Bel Air.
21:22 Sammy Brooks made Gary threaten to leave the show if she wasn't in the competition next week. The harshest comment of the night? Louis: "Sammy, you're a very ordinary girl, with an extraordinary voice." Wow. Not sure that's a compliment.
21:31 The Risk (the band which Tulisa put together during boot camp) probably have the most to prove this week and did just that by coming on stage and singing Plan B's She Said, in complete harmony. Absolutely great.
20:37 Craig Colton sung one of our favourite songs Jar Of Hearts by Christina Perri, a big song to try and outdo. He failed. But was still great
21:50 Kitty Brucknell is like Britney Spears, mid breakdown. But, we were really pleased she's still in the competition as she sung Live Forever from Les Miserables looking like Cat Woman tonight, and it was great.
21:55 Janet Devlin, whose makeover we're not a massive fan of, reminds us a lot of Luna Lovegood from Harry Potter. Singing Coldplay's Fix You, Janet blew our socks off - but is she too much like Diana Vickers?
So, there you have it. Two and a half hours later and we know that we're loving Misha B, 2 Shoes and Craig Colton. Who did you like? Who do you want to see go home?
See you tomorrow for the results, when the judges will pick someone from each of their groups to leave.
