There's been more speculation about X Factor jobs than there's ever been over the contestants on the show. The latest in the recruitment saga? Well, it seems that Cheryl Cole is finally out of the running for the American version of the show, whilst Konnie Huq has reportedly been axed from the UK's Xtra Factor
A night on the town drowning their sorrows might be in order for the pair.
According to The Sun, Aaron Nelson, who is the stepfather of Chezza's rumoured boyfriend Derek Hough, let the news slip, saying:
"She didn't get the X Factor job. Our heart goes out to her.
"Showbiz is always competitive, everyone wants to do well. It's so tough for her."
We're not sure how the Girls Aloud star will feel about her step-dad-in-law blabbing about her business. A bit meddlesome, no?
Meanwhile, Konnie Huq has apparently been dropped as the host of the Xtra Factor, with The Sun claiming I'm A Celeb... Get Me Out Of Here Now! host Caroline Flack is at the top of Simon Cowell's list of potential replacements.
Talking to the paper about Flack, an insider said:
"Cowell was impressed with her screen test."
As for who HAS got a job, Simon Cowell has confirmed the first US X Factor judge producer Antonio 'L.A.' Reid, who launched Rihanna and Justin Bieber's careers. Hate to say it, but he's probably more qualified than Cheryl, even if not as stylish or pretty. You think?
