Handbag's got The X Factor

How cute is Kelly Rowland? This week the judges were in Caaarrrdif for the X Factor auditions, and Kelly Rowland was lucky enough to try Welsh Rarebit (aka cheese on toast). 'Where's this Welsh Rabbit?' she asked a bemused looking waiter, who then informed her it was just... cheese on toast. (He looked a bit sad to have to deliver this disappointing news to her. We would be too.) "It's not got meat in it?" The American singer questioned, looking at the Rarebit as if it were about to pounce at her.

Of course, there was something that looked like it might pounce on this week's show, even if it wasn't the rarebit. First contestant Natasha Paton Ali was a teeny tiny bit obsessed with Take That singer Gary Barlow "You're drop dead gorgeous you are," she said when she walked on stage before telling him, "you're having it." Gary, however was a bit concerned that because Natasha's dress was a bit short he was going to get more of an eyeful than he bargained for.
He did get more than he bargained for, but mainly from Natasha's voice rather than anything she had hidden under her dress. Singing Everytime We Touch by Cascada and performing some QUESTIONABLE dance moves, Natasha didn't take her eyes off of Gary. Creepy doesn't quite cover it.
"There was a lot happening on stage baby, we couldn't really pay attention to the vocals," said Kelly. Before Tulisa gave the ultimate put down, "I don't think it's very fair that someone hasn't told you you can't sing"

Tugging at our heart strings this week was John Adams, a rather delicious-looking Maths Teacher with the voice of an angel.
Singing Canon Ball by Damien, he, of course, blew the audience away, while his friends got teary-eyed backstage. And we think Tulisa has a bit of a crush.

Today's sob story came from Michelle Barrett, who's had four children so hasn't had time to pursue her dreams. And doesn't think she'll, 'ever get this opportunity every again" because she's 31.
Michelle sang All The Man I Need by Whitney Houston, and at first sounded to us like a bad cabaret singer. Perhaps the acoustics in the stadium were better than the sound coming out of our TV speakers, because we didn't think she was as great as all the judges seemed to, and Tulisa even got upset because Michelle reminded her of her Mum. But hey, that's probably why we're not judging The X Factor.

The band Two Shoes bought a little bit of The Only Way Is Essex to X Factor proceedings, finishing eachother's sentences and making naff jokes about shoes. They sung All My Life by K-Ci and JoJo, and received three yes'es. Kelly Rowland just didn't get them.

There was ANOTHER past X Factor contestant on the show again this week (does that perhaps show that the programme has been running TOO long?) in the form of John Wilding, who'd spent the last year working on his act.
The judges all gave him a standing ovation, with Tulisa and Louis telling him they loved the fact that he was a fighter, and he, of course, received four yes'es.

The X Factor continues tomorrow night at 8pm on BBC1, so we're obviously hotting up towards bootcamp and the live shows.
