Handbag's got The X Factor - The second live show
Did the right acts leave last weekend? We're about to find out, as the judges deal with the fallout on the second X Factor live show.
19:53 First up NoVibe, oh wait, no sorry NuVibe. Singing With Or Without You by U2, the band were definitely off to a better start than they were last week. But, something's still not clicking and they've got so much competition to compete with. They needed to step up their game, and we don't really think they did. Hello, take a look back at some JLS X Factor performances.
Also, have the judges been reading handbag.com? We think so! They're all calling NuVibe NoVibe!
20:04 Samantha Brooks came on the stage to sing a huge song, Whitney Houston's I Will Always Love You. From a shaky start, to a great middle, to a shaky ending, the judges all thought she'd done a great job, except Gary Barlow, who always talks sense. Thank goodness he's all on the judging panel.
20:14 Craig Colton took on one of handbag.com's favourite Beyoncé songs, Best Thing I Never Have, looking absoultely brilliant having been put on a crash diet for the show. We love Craig's divaish attitude, and could tell he meant every word of what he sung. But, what did Kelly Rowland think of Craig taking on her cousin Beyoncé's song? Well, Kelly didn't think it was the best song choice. We don't think she meant that as a dig at B though.
20:18 And the first tears of the night were shed as Janet Devlin told the cameras about her Granddad dying. Which was really sad. Janet sung Elvis Presley's I Can't Help Falling In Love With You.
20:31 Frankie Cocozza had a song change at the last minute and came on singing Coldplay The Scientist, and oh dear us, slaughtered it. Gary Barlow looked a bit defeated, and perhaps agreed with the judges that he'd let Frankie down with the song choice.
20:38 We love Johnny Robinson, he's so lovely! He's even got a fan out of Kylie Minogue, already! They were pulling out all the stop with his performance tonight, with chinese-themed paraphernalia, probably to disguise the fact that he actually can't sing. He does sound a bit like Klyie Minogue though. Gary Barlow compared Johnny's performance to Aladdin, before Johhny retorted, 'you can rub my lamp anytime Gary!' Best X Factor moment so far!
20:51 Marcus Collins is probably our favourite performance of the night so far after he sung Rihanna's Russian Roulette, probably because it was this evening's most heartfelt song.
20:59 Rhythmix rocked out to a funky version of Nelly Furtado's I'm Like A Bird, it was brilliant and original. We really enjoyed it.
21:08 We were so excited about Misha B last week, and this week she didn't disappoint. Singing Would I Lie To You by Charles and Eddie. It wasn't as epic as last week's performance, but it was still brilliant. We also loved her hair.
21:20 The Risk sung Bruno Mars' Just The Way You Are, and were really great. Definitely better than No Vibe.
21:28 Singing The Calling's I'll Go Wherever You Will Go, wearing way too much makeup, Sophie Habibis left us feeling a little cold, as it did Gary.
21:41 Wow, craziest performance of the night unsuprisingly goes to Kitty Brucknell, who sung Bjork's It's Oh So Quiet. Getting great feedback from the judges, Kitty looked like she was going to cry. But will the public connect with her and vote? We'll find out tomorrow.
Our favourite performance of the night? We were a bit disappointed with all the contestants, no one really stood out. For emotion it has to be Marcus Collins, Rhythmix for pure brilliance, and Johnny Robinson for the entertainment factor. Mischa B was good, but not as good as last week, and Kitty Brucknell deserves to be in the competition next week too.
